Maple Breakfast Sausage

 

1 pound ground turkey (Ferndale Market, or other local farm)

2 T pure maple syrup

3/4 tsp sea salt

1 tsp chopped rosemary

1 tsp chopped sage

A few dashes ground nutmeg

  • Heat large pan over med-high heat.

  • Add turkey, stirring to break up.

  • Add remaining ingredients and cook until browned (5-8 min).

Meal prep ideas:

  • Set out 5 glass containers.

  • Equally divide sausage into containers.

  • Add 1 c. washed and chopped spinach or kale to each bowl.

  • Add 1 tsp extra virgin coconut oil to each bowl.

  • Add 1/2 c. cooked oatmeal, roasted sweet potatoes, or other healthy carb to each bowl.

  • Store in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze.
